I wonder why they made a video for this and not War Child, which was released as a single. That aside, they were really unluclky with the singles from The Hunter because of the war in the Falklands. UK radio gave limited airplay to Island Of Lost Souls, and War Child received next to none. I heard on a podcast (Phonogenics 101, which cover all the Blondie albums) that they pulled this because it might also be associated with the war. I think it would have been a big hit. Danceway could also have been a single.

They were both doing heroin at the time. There's a clip of Debbie on The Late Show with David Letterman a few weeks after this and she looks equally wasted. Miraculously, she got clean really quickly and was back to her usual blonde self when she was promoting Video in the UK at the end of 1983. Chris was on methadone for over 20 years after that.

Saw them years ago at The Wiltern Theatre in LA. Was really close to the stage. Nice Jimmy and Chris Stein were still touring. Saw them on a Farewell Tour about, forgot how long, but a Farewell Tour. So much for that in 2024. LOL.

When i was 14, i was just blown away by her, her beauty and Blondie's music. They were ani incredible bamd ovwithsdo many great albums, well before heaet of glass became a hit. Im 59 now and still adore their music.
